My name is Joss.
I am a designer with 10+ years of experience made in Germany and based in Stuttgart Vienna.

I design digital & physical experiences, services and systems for small businesses, start-ups and global brands.

I consider myself a teamplayer with a curious mind and a positive attitude.

Over the years I had the pleasure to collaborate with people from all sorts of backgrounds like designers, developers, managers, business people, CEOs and many more to achieve one goal:

Q: Can you give a quote you like?

A: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” (Maya Angelou)

Q: Why do you like it?

A: I think it is not only valid for people but also very true for (digital) experiences. If you enjoy an experience, you are so much more likely to become a supporter or friend of a product, tool or even the brand behind it.

Q: What book are you reading right now?

A: I know I am very late to the party but I just started “Thinking Fast and Slow” by Daniel Kahneman. To me it´s best practice for communicating scientific knowledge in an entertaining way. I think in times of fake news and social media great science communication will become more and more important.

Q: What podcasts do you listen to? Can you name 3?

Q: Which digital products do you like and why?

A: That is a surprisingly tough question… 😄

As I just recently did my taxes I used Taxfix for it and not only did I get quite some tax returns but the way of communicating the status you are in and the overall user experience and design were just delightful.

Other than that I like HEY for their innovative approach to email (big fan of open standards like email) and I like Proton for their vision of privacy focused products.

And by being an advocate for learning I´m a big fan of Notion for making documenting and knowledge sharing feel easy and smooth.
